This is the family dog, Odie. It's a bit of a lousy picture of him, as he's afraid of cameras (and most everything else). I love this silly mutt.

 I feel like C.S. Lewis's depiction of an old dog he had is a pretty decent summary of Odie.

"...for poor Tim, though I loved him, was the most undisciplined, unaccomplished, and dissipated-looking creature that ever went on four legs."
